Carpe Diem

This card is made with a stamping platform. 
A great tool to give bold stamps a watercolor look.  

I inked up the bold flower with 2 colors of distress ink (Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet and give it a bit of spray with water before stamping it of on the water color paper. If necessary you can do re-ink your stamp and add a second layer on top. 

Once all flowers are stamped with the above method I went in with a blending tool and colored the background lighthly with distress ink Tea Dye.

And than adding some background stamps to finish the card.

This is my entry

I adore butterflies, so what a perfect match to combine the Nature inspirational word with butterflies as animal print. And lucky me, Magenta carries lots of butterfly stamps and stencils in their collection.

I have been working on a Art Journal page to create a colorfull background with Nuance powders and Magenta stamps and stencil. The butterflies are also colored with the Nuance pigment powders.

ATCs voor ArtSpecially

En ook deze ATCs neem ik mee om te ruilen

En zo zijn deze tot stand gekomen, de foto's spreken voor zich...

Helaas kan ik niet ruilen op het ATC plein, maar wil je ruilen kom dan naar de Magenta stand en schuif dan gelijk aan voor een leuke Make & Take.

Nuance and masks

Hello crafters

I have been playing with Nuance in combination with masks and created some connected ATCs.

I have placed the Flowers mask onto a large piece of watercolor cardstock and adhered some Nuance (Coral and Golden Yellow) pigment onto the mask and spread out the color with a wet finger dauber.

Also created with the same technique a card.


And for the below series of ATCs I have used the Nuance colors Old Rose and Berry.

 Magenta will be present on the ArtSpecially event in Nijkerk the Netherlands next weekend. I will be at the stand on both days, so if you like to trade ATCs with me, you are more than welcome.

ArtSpecially 2018 - Magenta make & take

Ook dit jaar is Magenta aanwezig op het creatieve feestje van ArtSpecially op 

14 en 15 april in Nijkerk

Hélène de eigenaresse van Magenta komt over uit Canada en Ellie Knol en ik zullen haar helpen met de make & takes die we voor jullie gaan verzorgen. Uiteraard gaan we werken met de mooie Nuance poeders.

De voorbereidingen zijn al in volle gang en we hebben er erg veel zin in!

Op zaterdagochtend en de gehele zondag kun je mij vinden op de stand.
Zaterdagmiddag is Ellie aanwezig.
