Blog Hop Magenta and Imagine Crafts Sept 20th

 

Welcome to a week of fantastic collaboration between IMAGINE Crafts and Magenta Rubber Stamps! Both companies are excited to share with you their products, from the latest inks from IMAGINE Crafts to the newest Fall and Holiday stamp releases from Magenta.      

I had another chance to play with the fabulous inks of Imagine Craft and the beautiful Magenta stamps and have created a Christmas card:

How to instructions:

1. Add Memento ink (Bahama blue, Teal zeal, Nautical blue) directly on your craftsheet and spritz it with some water. Pull thru your watercolor white background paper and let the colors blend even more by spritzing some extra water on your paper. Dry this with your heatgun.
   
   
2. Stamp the Merry Christmas multilingual text with Versamark and heatset it with white embossing powder.
   
   
3. Place the Snowflake stencil on your background and sponge the large snowflakes with Delicata Silvery Shimmer randomly on your background.
   
   
4. Add some Versamark on to the edges of the card and apply white embossing powder and heatset it.
   
   
5. Assemble your card by matting it on darkblue cardstock and adhere it to a white base card.

Memento ink (Bahama blue, Teal zeal, Nautical blue), Versamark, white embossing powder, Delicata ink Silvery Shimmer

Merry Christmas - Multilingual (07.883.K) stamp

Blog Hop Magenta and Imagine Crafts Sept 17th

Step by step instructions

This is the final result. In the below steps you will find out how it's created and finally a larger picture of the card.

Spritz the 3 colors of Fireworks (Dandelion, Tangelo, Lady Bug) onto your background paper and let the colors flow onto the background. 

The colors are so vibrant and full of shimmer!

Let it dry

Ink the Georgia O'Keefe quote stamp with the 3 memento colors (Dandelion, Tangelo, Lady Bug) and stamp it randomly on the background

Spritz some white irRESSISTible ink (wedding dress) on your craftsheet and ink up your Magenta bubble wrap stamp with it and randomly stamp it on your background. Let it dry completely!

The irRESSISTible ink is a texture ink, so it will give extra dimension to your project. Just love it!

Stamp the Magenta butterfly with Versamark and heat set it with white embossing powder

Add some Memento Dandelion and Tangelo directly on your craftsheet and spritz some water on it.
Pull your butterfly image thru the ink. 

Spritz some Shimmer Frost onto your butterfly, let it dry completely before you cut out the butterfly.

Sponge some extra Memento Lady Bug on the edges of your background and butterfly to make it pop up more.

Sponge some extra Memento Dandelion round the buble stamp image, this will pop up the texture of the irRESSISTible. Remove the excess of ink on the texture ink with a damp cloth.

Stamp the Happy Birthday text with Memento Lady Bug onto a piece of white cardstock

Now you can assemble everything into a card. I have used a basic white card.
I finished the card with a hand drawn doodle line around the edges with a Sharpie pen.

And this is the final result

I just love the vibrant colors of the Fireworks and it also has lots of shimmer in it. The texture in the irRESISTible spray is just awesome.

Op een witte achtergrond de mini sketch grid stencil geplaatst en hierover gesso gesmeerd. Na droging met de blending tool distress inkten pumice stone en peacock feathers aangebracht.

Daarna verschlllende Tim Holtz stempels afgedrukt in dezelfde kleuren. De druppels zijn van Deep Red. Om toch het wit iets meer naar voren te krijgen met een rond vingersponsje witte rondjes aangebracht. Dit heb ik gedaan met de Hero Arts pigment ink Unicorn, een hele fijne mooie witte inkt.

Started of on white background paper with the sketch grid stencil and gesso. After it was dry add distress ink pumice stone and peacock feathers with a blending tool.

Than stamped several Tim Holtz stamps in the same colors. The drops are from Deep Red. To get more white to the front I added with a fingertip sponge white rounds. I have used for this the Hero Arts pigment ink Unicorn, a very nice white ink.

ATC landschapjes

Ook deze twee landschapjes komen uit de restanten bak, geen idee hoe deze hier terecht zijn gekomen, want ik vind ze gewoon perfect. 

Het enige wat ontbrak was het matten op een ATC kaartje.

Magenta watercoloring card

Op deze kaart heb ik een combinatie toegepast van watercoloring en blenden met distress inkt. Ik vind de zachte uitstraling heel mooi.

This card is a combination of watercoloring and adding extra distress ink with a blending tool. I just love the soft and tender result.

ATC beauty

Ook deze komt uit mijn restanten bakje. Het was oorspronkelijk kaart groot, maar te druk door te veel pluimen erop. Verkleind naar een ATC en verder afgewerkt met een tekstje. 

De techniek die hier gebruikt is: stempelen met een stencil.

Gebruikte stempels en stencil: Magenta

ATC dogwood

Deze lag al een hele tijd in mijn restanten bakje en eindelijk opgepakt om verder af te maken. Alles waar ik niet echt tevreden over ben omdat ik een ander resultaat verwachtte, belandt in een restanten bakje. Na een tijdje krijg je vanzelf inspiratie om het af te maken of kijk je er heel anders tegen aan en ben je wel blij met het toen behaalde resultaat.

Een ATC met Hero Arts stempels, ingekleurd met distress inkten. En als laatste een laagje gold medium van Lidl er overheen aangebracht, wat een heel leuk effect geeft omdat het transparant is.

Condoleance kaart

De achtergrond is gekeurd met bister, ik vind deze natuurlijke rustige kleuren een goed passen bij het thema en de huidige challenge bij Magenta.

Dit is mijn bijdrage als DT lid

De bladeren zijn met versamark gestempeld en met witte embossingpoeder heat embossed. De achtergrond gesponst met 2 kleuren distress inkt en de mooie achtergrond tekst met bruine distress inkt erop gestempeld.

Langs de boven en onderkant van het paneeltje heb ik kleine bamboe stokjes geplakt

De courage tekst is met Memento (rich cocoa) gestempeld.
