Art journal pagina Clematis

 Magenta heeft veel bloemen stempels in haar collectie. Dit keer heb ik gekozen voor de clematis stempel voor mijn pagina in mijn bloemen art journal.

Het is een mixed media pagina geworden. De gehele pagina is beplakt met stukjes uit een woordenboek wat ik voorzien heb van een laagje gesso en dsitress paints. De clematis is gestempeld op tissue papier en gekleurd alvorens het op de pagina te plakken. Structuur pasta aangebracht door een mandala stencil en in de achtergrond een tekst gestempeld. Uiteraard ontbreekt het woord clematis niet op de pagina. Dit is gedaan met een alfabet stanzen set.

Scrapheap step by step opdracht

Ik volgde bij de Scrapheap een weekopdracht ge-organiseerd door Grete. Iedere dag 1 opdracht en na een week een project af. En dit is mijn eindresultaat.

De opdrachten per dag

Dag 1: gesso op kleur gemengd aanbrengen

Art Journal page - druiven

Nog een paar weekjes tot de druiven rijp zijn in de kas op de tuin.

Maar zo lang kan ik niet wachten :-)

Op de achtergrond Cadence rusty patina paint door een stencil aangebracht voor extra structuur.
Achtergrond bewerkt met Nuance pigment poeders en Neocolors.

ATC dogwood

Deze lag al een hele tijd in mijn restanten bakje en eindelijk opgepakt om verder af te maken. Alles waar ik niet echt tevreden over ben omdat ik een ander resultaat verwachtte, belandt in een restanten bakje. Na een tijdje krijg je vanzelf inspiratie om het af te maken of kijk je er heel anders tegen aan en ben je wel blij met het toen behaalde resultaat.

Een ATC met Hero Arts stempels, ingekleurd met distress inkten. En als laatste een laagje gold medium van Lidl er overheen aangebracht, wat een heel leuk effect geeft omdat het transparant is.

Travel challenge

De achtergrond is gemaakt met een stencil en acryl pasta en dit bewerkt met distress stains. Om het onderwerp travel te benadrukken een stukje van een stratenboek pagina erin verwerkt, welke voorzien is van een dun laagje gesso.

The background is made with a stencil and acrylic paste and inked it up with distress stains. To highlight the theme travel I added a piece of a streetmap page, which is painted lighty with a gesso layer.

ATC Flower

De achtergrond heb ik eerst voorzien van een dun laagje gesso waarna ik met 2 kleuren distress inkt overheen gesponst heb. De edged flower van Hero Arts heb ik 2 keer afgedrukt (masker techniek) en ingekleurd met distress inkten/markers. Daarna de bloemen gemaskeerd en de achtergrond tekst geplaatst. De bloemen nog voorzien van een laagje acrylic effect pasta (crystal).

I've added gesso to the background and sponged it with 2 colors of distress inks. Stamped the edged flower of Hero Arts twice (masking technique) and colored it with distress inks/markers. Than masked off the flowers and stamped the background text. Added a thin layer of acrylic effect paste (crystal)

Card Chain Challenge August 2012

Ook deze maand heb ik weer meegedaan met de CCC challenge van Deborah. Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor Angela die ze inmiddels veilig heeft ontvangen in New Zealand, ondanks dat de douane de envelop had ge-opend.

Also this month I joined the CCC challenge of Deborah. This card I've made for Angela which has arrived in New Zealand safely, despite of the fact that customs had opened the envelope.

De rand van de kaart heb ik afgeplakt met tape en in het kader de "print and flower pattern" (Hero Arts CG329) afgedrukt met versamark. Deze afdruk bewerkt met pan pastels. De pan pastels gefixeerd en de tape voorzichtig verwijderd.
De vlinder op een apart stuk wit papier afgedrukt met memento black en deze ingekleurd met distress markers. Het lijfje voorzien van glossy accents en de vleugels aangetipt met parelmoer effect pasta (Lidl). De vlinders uitgeknipt en deze bevestigd op de kaart met glossy accents en de vleugels verhoogd met glue dots.
De tekst (HA F4088 quill always) op een apart wit strookje gestempeld met memento black en iets aangezet met distress inkt en de achtergrond tekst (HA H2365 old french writing) erover heen gestempeld met distress inkt.


I taped the border around the white cardstock and stamped the "print and flower pattern" (Hero Arts CG329) with versamark in the middle. Added the versamark print with pan pastels. Covered the pan pastels with fixation and removed gently the tape.
Stamped the butterfly with memento black on a separate piece of white cardstock and colored it with distress markers. Added glossy accents to the body and added some pear acrylic paste on the tips of the wings (Lidl). Cut out the butterflies and adhered it to the card with glossy accents and used glue dots under the wings for dimension.
Stamped the text (HA F4088 quill always) on a separate piece of white cardstoch with memento black and added some color of distress ink and stamped the background text (HA H2365 old french writing) on it with distress ink.

Interactive card

Deze maand is het thema bij Hero Arts interactieve kaarten en verjaardagen. De achtergrond tekst is wit ge-embossed en daarna met distress inkten ingesponst. Het labeltje eerst bewerkt met gesso en een sjabloon, na goed drogen gesponst met dezelfde kleuren distress inkt als de achtergrond. Ook de vlinder is ingekleurd met distress inkten en daarna voorzien van een laagje parelmoer acryl pasta van de Lidl. De vlinder is met een spiraaltje op de kaart geplaatst zodat deze kan wiebelen.

This month at Hero Arts the theme is interactive cards and birthdays. The background text is white heat embossed and sponged with distress inks. Add gesso in combination with a template at the label and after drying sponged with the same colors of distress inks and adhered a thin layer of pearl acrylic paste from the Lidl. The butterfly is adhered to the card with a spiral so that the butterfly can wiggle.

Lily Pad challenge

De french post stempel is op het achtergrondpapier afgedrukt met versamark en wit ge-embossed. Daarna verschillende kleuren stains aangebracht en het geheel bespoten met perfect pearl biscotti. De grote vlinder gestempeld met distress inkt en clear embossed en daarna ingekleurd met distress stains. In zijn geheel de vlinder ingesmeerd met de acrylic clear pasta van de Lidl. De tekst gestempeld met distress inkt en de randjes gesponst.

The french post stamped on the background paper with versamark and white embossed. Adhered several colors of stains and spritzed the whole background with perfect pearls biscotti. The large butterfly is stamped with distress ink, clear embossed and colored with distress stains. The whole butterfly is smudged with the acrylic clear paste from the Lidl. The text is stamped with distress ink and sponged the borders.

ATC acrylic crystal effect pasta

Op deze ATC gewerkt met de crystal pasta uit het setje van de Lidl. Eerst de hortensia gestempeld met distress inkten en ingekleurd.
De hortensia gemaskerd zodat ik de achtergrond kon kleuren en de achtergrond tekst er overheen kon stempelen. Daarna een laagje crystal pasta er over heen aangebracht met een oud pasje. Het is wit spul maar het droogt helder op, het legt als het ware een klein filmlaagje over je werk.
Heel mooi!

I worked with the crystal paste from the Lidl set on this ATC. First stamped the hydrangea with distress ink and colored it.
Masked the hydrangea so that I could color the background and stamp the background text on it. After that I adhered the crystal paste with on old credit card. It's white paste but it dries up clear. It leaves a very tiny layer on your art. Really very beautiful!

ATC parelmoer acrylic pasta

Nu aan de slag gegaan met de parelmoer acrylic pasta. Ook dit is een zeer dunne pasta die een fijn laagje parelmoer achterlaat. Helaas niet goed te zien op de foto.
I start playing with the pearl acrylic paste. This is also a very thin paste which leaves a smooth layer of pearl on your background. Unfortunately the picture does not reflect it.

Acrylic goud satijn pasta

Zaterdag bij de Lidl voor een prikkie een set acrylic effect pasta op de kop getikt. En nu ben ik natuurlijk razend benieuwd hoe deze pasta's gecombineerd kunnen worden met inkten en wat de resultaten ervan zijn...
This set of acrylic effect medium I've bought for a bargain on a local super. And offcourse I'm curious now how to combine it with inks and what the end result wil be...

De achtergrond eerst be-inkt met distress inkt tumbled glass en daarna de goud satijn pasta er over heen aangebracht. De achtergrond verder bestempeld met de fabulous flourish en de hello tree tekst. De vlinders ingekleurd met distress inkt tumbled glass en bemist met perfect pearls brons. Het lijfje bestreken met de goud pasta en na drogen een laagje glossy accents aangebracht.Moet zeggen vind het gaaf spul, nu de andere tubes nog gaan uitproberen!

The background has been inked with distress tumbled glass and adhered the gold satin medium on it. Stamped the background with the fabulous flourish and the hello tree text. Colored the butterflies with tumbled glass ink and misted it with perfect pearls bronze. The body painted with the gold medium and after dried adhered some glossy accents.
I have to admit this stuff is awesome, can't wait to experiment with the other tubes!
