De pioenroos van Indigoblu heeft ook een plekje gekregen in mijn bloemen abc journal

Op aquarelpapier gewerkt en hier distress oxide salvaged patina en vintage photo, witte gesso, washi tape, witte acrylverf. Op de achtergrond ook nog gestempeld met een aantal achtergrond stempels van Indigoblu. (script & ledger)

 De achtergrond was iets te veel met gesso bewerkt...dus hier en daar wat dylussion paint aangebracht om wat meer kleur te verkrijgen.

I used a little too much gesso on the background...so also used some distress paints to add more color here and there.

Indigoblu challenge - guestpost

Today at Indigoblu a new month challenge has started and it's all about:

'All things bright and beautiful'

I was invited to make a card to go alongside with the DT inspiration work for this challenge and here is my take:

I have used distress inks for the bright part and for the beautiful part of this challenge I used all of the IndigoBlu stamps I chose for my winning prize:

This month IndigoBlu has a challenge running called:

Brown and Teal

I have been playing with different kind of IndigoBlu stamps and all coloring is done with the Zig Clean Color brushes.

Last month my card was choosen as one of the Top 3 in the IndigoBlu challenge "Off the Edge" and I am invited to a guest blogpost on the IndigoBlu Challenge blog for the current challenge.

The Just one Layer challenge is the perfect challenge for me, as I love to create and build up my own backgrounds.

Step by step instructions on how I created this card:

On a white piece of paper stamp with archival black the poppy. Mask off the poppy and start blending distress inks cracked pistache, mustard seed onto the background. Flick some waterdrops on the background, let it sit for a minute and depp it off with a dry cloth.

Stamp the text with distress ink spiced marmalade randomly on the background. And do the same with the ledger background stamp with distress ink cracked pistachio.

Stamp the text again with archival black ink. Remove the mask and start watercoloring the flower with distress inks spiced marmalade and mustard seed.

Tear the edges around the card, tear off the rightcorner for a distressed look. Add a doodling frame around the outside of card.

And finally adhere the background onto a white card.

De pioenroos nog lichtjes bewerkt met bleek om deze wat meer diepte te geven.

Wat hebben we weer een geweldige stempel event achter de rug!

Wat een gezellilge drukte en alles was echt super ge-organiseerd.

Ik heb heerlijk in de ochtenden demo's gegeven bij zowel Stampingcorner als Magenta en de middagen voldoende tijd gehad om te shoppen en een paar workshopjes te volgen. 

En wat zo leuk is er komen steeds meer mensen bij die besmet worden door het stempelvirus :-)

Beterschap

Laatst weer een pakje Hema correspondentie kaartjes gekocht om te proberen of ze geschikt zijn voor stempelen. Jaren terug kon dat goed, maar ineens veranderde ze van kwaliteit. 

De huidige zijn niet zo geschikt voor blenden van inkten met de blendingtool, te stug wat te snel een streperig effect geeft. Maar wat mij verraste is dat ik de bloem met een waterpen en inkt makkelijk kon inkleuren.

De bloem is als eerste gestempeld en clear embossed en daarna gemaskerd en de achtergond gaan bewerken met inkten en stempels

As a result of being one of the top 3 nominations of the IndigoBlu Monochromatic challenge I have been asked if I wanted to create an inspirational piece for the current Tag challenge. I feel honored!

IndigoBlu tag

Op deze tag heb ik eerst een achtergrond stempel afgedrukt met gesso en daarna bewerkt met distress paints en distress inkt om een kleurenlaag op te bouwen.

De bloem is gestempeld met Archival black en ingekleurd met distress inkten en daarna voorzien van een laagje clear embossingpoeder.

On this tag I started to stamp off a background stamp with gesso and than I went over it with distress paints and distress inks to build up layers of color.

The flower is stamped with Archival black and colored with distress inks and than heat embossed with clear embossing powder

Een kaart in 1 kleurstelling, maar wel in combinatie met wit...

Gewerkt met distress inkt, witte embossing poeder en IndigoBlu stempels.

Oranje lintje eeeh....oeps tintje

Oranje bloemen voor dit oranje getinte weekend :-)

Orange flowers for this orange themed weekend (Kingsday in NL)

Distress inkten spiced marmelade en salty ocean op een craftsheet gedrukt en bemist met water en het achtergrond kaartje er door heen gehaald. Nog wat extra oranje spetters er op gespetterd.

Bloemen apart gestempeld en ingekleurd met distress inkt spiced marmelade. Uitgekipt en op de kaart geplakt en sommige bloemblaadjes verhoogd. Het hart van de bloemen voorzien van een glossy laagje. 

On a craftsheet mixed distress inks spiced marmelade and salty ocean with water and swiped the white background card into it. Added some extra orange splatters.

Stamped the flowers separately and colored with distress ink spiced marmelade. Cut it out and adhered it onto the card, some petals are heightened. The heart of the flowers have a glossy layer.
