Dragon flies

De achtergrond is gemaakt met de distress paints en deze verder opgebouwd met distress inkt in combinatie met templates en stempels.

The background is created with distress paints and further build up with distress inks in combination with stencils and stamps.

ATC Flower

De achtergrond heb ik eerst voorzien van een dun laagje gesso waarna ik met 2 kleuren distress inkt overheen gesponst heb. De edged flower van Hero Arts heb ik 2 keer afgedrukt (masker techniek) en ingekleurd met distress inkten/markers. Daarna de bloemen gemaskeerd en de achtergrond tekst geplaatst. De bloemen nog voorzien van een laagje acrylic effect pasta (crystal).

I've added gesso to the background and sponged it with 2 colors of distress inks. Stamped the edged flower of Hero Arts twice (masking technique) and colored it with distress inks/markers. Than masked off the flowers and stamped the background text. Added a thin layer of acrylic effect paste (crystal)

Kleine tags

Een serie kleine cadeau labeltjes gemaakt, altijd handig om op voorraad te hebben.

Heerlijk kliederen met distress inkten op een crafsheet, beetje bemisten met perfect pearls voor de nodige glimmers. Op de twee roze labels heb ik eerst met de goosebump dauber de HA French Post stempel (K5354) afgedrukt voor een resist effect.

Card Chain Challenge August 2012

Ook deze maand heb ik weer meegedaan met de CCC challenge van Deborah. Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor Angela die ze inmiddels veilig heeft ontvangen in New Zealand, ondanks dat de douane de envelop had ge-opend.

Also this month I joined the CCC challenge of Deborah. This card I've made for Angela which has arrived in New Zealand safely, despite of the fact that customs had opened the envelope.

De rand van de kaart heb ik afgeplakt met tape en in het kader de "print and flower pattern" (Hero Arts CG329) afgedrukt met versamark. Deze afdruk bewerkt met pan pastels. De pan pastels gefixeerd en de tape voorzichtig verwijderd.
De vlinder op een apart stuk wit papier afgedrukt met memento black en deze ingekleurd met distress markers. Het lijfje voorzien van glossy accents en de vleugels aangetipt met parelmoer effect pasta (Lidl). De vlinders uitgeknipt en deze bevestigd op de kaart met glossy accents en de vleugels verhoogd met glue dots.
De tekst (HA F4088 quill always) op een apart wit strookje gestempeld met memento black en iets aangezet met distress inkt en de achtergrond tekst (HA H2365 old french writing) erover heen gestempeld met distress inkt.


I taped the border around the white cardstock and stamped the "print and flower pattern" (Hero Arts CG329) with versamark in the middle. Added the versamark print with pan pastels. Covered the pan pastels with fixation and removed gently the tape.
Stamped the butterfly with memento black on a separate piece of white cardstock and colored it with distress markers. Added glossy accents to the body and added some pear acrylic paste on the tips of the wings (Lidl). Cut out the butterflies and adhered it to the card with glossy accents and used glue dots under the wings for dimension.
Stamped the text (HA F4088 quill always) on a separate piece of white cardstoch with memento black and added some color of distress ink and stamped the background text (HA H2365 old french writing) on it with distress ink.

ATC pan pastels

Voor deze ATC heb ik eerst rondom een frame gemaskerd en hierin de Hero Arts Print and Flower pattern gestempeld met versamark. Deze gekleurd met pan pastel  kleurtjes (yellow ochre en burnt sienna). Dit voorzien van een fixeer laagje zodat het niet meer zal afgeven.
De vlinder (HA antique engravings set) ingekleurd met distress markers en de kleuren met elkaar vermengd met een waterpen.
De tekst (HA find joy set) gestempeld met memento black op een wit strookje waar ik eerst de HA old french writing achtergrond tekst op heb gestempeld met spiced marmelade distress marker.

For this ATC I first masked a border around the edges and stamped in it the Hero Arts Print and Flower pattern with versamark. Colored this stamped image with pan pastel colors (yellow ochre and burnt sienna). Added a fixation layer on it for protection.
The butterfly (HA antique engraving set) is colored with distress markers and blend the colors with a waterbrush.
The text (HA find joy set) is stamped with memento black on a white label on which I first stamped the HA old french writing background text with distress marker spiced marmelade.

Hero Arts August sketch

Voor deze kaart heb ik 1 van de sketches gebruikt van de HA Flickr maand challenge. Alleerst heb ik een baan afgeplakt met post-it notes zodat ik met distress inkten scattered straw en tea dye aan beiden kanten van de afgeplakte strook kan sponzen. Daarna met distress gathered twigs de achtergrond tekst (HA old french writing) gestempeld, wel voor het afdrukken hier en daar het inkt weer verwijderd van de stempel voor een speels effect.
Dan de post-it notes verwijderd en langs de randen en randje aangezet met distress marker brushed corderoy.

De bloemen stempel (HA butterfly flowers) 2x afgedrukt op een ander stuk wit papier en dit ingekleurd met de distress markers (tumbled glass, broken china, peeled paint en crushed olive). Daarna bemist met een perfect pearl biscotti mix. De afdrukken rondom uitgeknipt en op de witte strook geplakt.

De happy birthday tekst (HA find joy set) gestempeld op een apart strookje met archival coffee en gesponst met distress inkt tumbled glass. Dit verhoogd aangebracht op de kaart.

I used one of the sketches of the HA Flickr month challenge. First I masked a stroke with post-it notes so that I could sponge on both sides of the stroke with scattered straw and tea dye distress inks. Than stamped the background text stamp (HA old french writing) with gathered twigs distress ink. Removed some ink from the stamp before stamping off on the paper to get a more playfull result. Removed the post-it notes and added with brushed corderoy marker a border.

Stamped the flowers (HA butterfly flowers) twice on a seperate piece of white paper and colored it with distress markers (tumbled glass, broken china, peeled paint en crushed olive). After that misted it with a perfect pearl biscotti mixture. Cut out the flowers and adhered it on the white stroke.

The happy birthday text (HA find joy set) is stamped on a separate stroke with archival coffee and sponged it with tumbled glass distress ink. Adhered it with thick tape on the card.

ATC resist

De maandtechniek op de ATC stempelgroep is resist. Op deze ATC werkt de gesso als een resist. De gesso uitgesmeerd over het slangensjabloon en goed laten drogen. Distress inkten tumbled glass en wild honey met perfect pearls bespoten op een craftsheet en hier de ATC doorheen gehaald. Hier en daar de old french writing gestempeld met wild honey en zo ook een gedeelte van de klok. Tekst special time op een apart strookje gestempeld en verhoogd opgebracht. Vlinder gestempeld, ingekleurd en uitgeknipt. De randen voorzien van een doodle lijntje.

This month challenge at the ATC stamping group is the resist technique. On this ATC the gesso works as a resist. Smudged the gesso on the snake template and let it dried thoroughly. Added distress inks tumbled glass and wildhoney spritzed with perfect pearls at the craftsheet and turned around the atc into it. Stamped the old french writing here and there with wild honey and also stamped partly the clock. Text special time stamped on a white stroke and adhered with thick tape. Stamped, colored the butterfly and cut out. Add around the edges a doodle line.

Thinking of you

Een kaart gemaakt aan de hand van een van de Hero Arts maand lay-outs. Achtergrondpapier is gemaakt door distress inkten aan te brengen op een craftsheet en bemisten met wat water en dan het papier er door heen halen. De cirkels zijn gestempeld met een dop (alles kun je gebruiken bij het stempelen..). Aan de binnenkant van de cirkels een stippellijntje aangebracht met een witte gelpen. De vlinders zijn ook met distress inkten ingekleurd en bespoten met een beetje perfect pearls en voorzien van pareltjes.

Made a card based on the current month sketch layout. The background paper is done by adding distress ink directly on the craftsheet and misted with water. The circles are done with a lid (you really can use everything while stamping..). On the inside of the circles I added a dotted line with a white gelpen. The butterflies are also colored with distress inks and misted with some perfect pearls and added some pearls on the bodies.

ATC It's the little things

Gespeeld met goosebumps en distress inkten. Leuk om te zien dat als je dezelfde kleuren en materialen gebruikt de uitkomst toch totaal verschillend kan zijn.

Tall flower

Ik blijf hem mooi vinden de stempel van Hero Arts, de tall flower.

Op deze kaart heb ik hem wederom wit ge-embossed en ingekleurd met distress stains, zo ook de achtergrond.

Daarna met distress inkt de old french writing gedeeltelijk gestempeld, alleen de blaadjes van de tall flower rondom de randen gestempeld en de tekst Amour verdeeld over de achtergrond.

Randen extra aangezet met distress inkt en als laatste een lintje rondom met een lief klein hartje er aan vast gemaakt en pareltjes op de bloemen.
