Play time with Nuance

Hello Magenta fans!
Mariëtte here with some playfull Nuance creations and to help you to go play with Nuance yourself I have some step by step instructions as well.

Some step by step instructions

I am working on A5 size watercolor paper of 200 grams.

Sprinkle a color of Nuance on your craftsheet and add a spritz of water. Dip in your paper on several spots into the Nuance. And than dry your paper.

Than do the same with another color and repeat the above process. This way you can add layers on top of each other.
I have used the following Nuance colors: Jade, Purple, Golden Yellow, Coral, Berry and Ocean 

Adhere white ink thru a stencil to create some white circles

Now I cut the A5 size background into a regular card and ATC.

Make some highlight spots onto your background by adding a bit of distress ink (mustard seed and abondoned coral).
I have also used some distress crayons for some little accents.

Take some background stamps and randomly stamp them with distress oxide inks onto your background. Use colors that matches your background.

Stamp some butterflies on your left over from your original background. I also added some more color to them with distress inks and coated them with a layer of thick embossing powder.

Add some lines in black and gold with the use of the sideback of an old credit card. I also added some splatters.

Last step is to add a sentiment and adhere the 
butterflies.

The final card is at the top of this post, and below is the final ATC.

Luck is smiling on you

Weer heerlijk gespeeld met de Distress Oxides.

Gewerkt met die-cuts, washi tapes en Magenta stempels.

Leeftijd is een .....

Leeftijd is een kwestie van gevoel
en niet van jaren.....

Op de achtergrond texture paste van Dutch Doobadoo aangebracht door het Magenta Chevron stencil. 

Na droging de achtergrond bewerkt met een aantal nieuwe kleurtjes van de Distress Oxide inkten.

En uiteraard verder opgebouwd met enkele Magenta stempels afgedrukt met de Distress Oxide inkt in de kleuren van de achtergrond.

The background is created with Distress Oxides inks. The little birds are colored with Gansai Tambi silver. This in combination with the Distress Oxide tattered rose is so beautiful. The tattered rose almost looks shimmery, I was so surprised by this color:-)

You are amazing

Hello Crafters, today it's Mariëtte to bring you some inspiration.
I have been playing with Nuance powders again.    

I have used watercolor paper to work on. I tapped some Nuance yellow and orange onto a craftsheet and spritz it with water and than dragging the paper into the mixture to get an light colored background.

Than placed a stencil on top of the background and spritzed the Nuance mixture of 2 colors of orange thru the stencil in the upper corner

Lifted up the stencil and immediately turned it and placed it back on the background to get a reverse impression of the stencil.

I did die-cut a label and spritz it with the orange Nuance mixture 

Stamped the crackle on the label in a corresponding color of Archival ink to get some interest to the background.

Stamped the heart on a seperate piece of watercolor paper and colored it in with different Nuance colors. Than adhered the heart on the label.

On the basic background I partially stamped the script randomly and added some splatters of left over Nuance mixture from coloring the heart.
Added the text and adhered all items to the base card.

Favorite Magenta stamp

Welcome to our Magenta Tuesday with the Team blog post! 

On one Tuesday each month, we feature DT member's tips and/or tricks in regards to a crafty topic. 

This month, the team is sharing projects made with their favourite Magenta stamp.

The apple blossom stamp is at the moment my favorite stamp.

It is very easy and relaxing to color this flower.
The script stamp is the most used stamp by me, I always use it to give the background more interest. And I only use just a llittle part of it.
