Thistle Silhouette

The background is made with Distress Oxides on the gelliplate and than I started to build up the backgroud with stamps and stencil.

The thistle silhouette and the text is stamped with Versafine black ink and heatset with clear embossing powder.

Adhered distress oxide ink with a blending tool thru the triangle stencil.

Celebrating Spring at Magenta

The Magenta DT members are celebrating Spring and we are showing you our creations to bring you the Spring feeling.

This is my take on the theme

I stamped the flowers with versamark and heat set it with white embossing powder. Than started to sponge the whole background with some yellow and orange colors of Distress Oxides. 

I removed the color from the flowers with a waterbrush and than start to color it again with a pink color of Distress Oxides and added some highlights with a colored pencil.

Play time with Distress Oxides    

This card is created by blending 2 colors of Distress Oxide ink onto the background. 

I placed the web stencil on the background and removed some ink with a wet kicthentowel. 

With the cats eye stencil I blended some extra color on the background.

Added some background stamps and adhered the stamped white embossed butterflies to the card.

Magenta DT Team - monoprints

On one Tuesday each month, Magenta feature DT member's tips and/or tricks in regards to a crafty topic. This month, the team is sharing different tips and ideas on ways to mono print or gelli print.

This is my take with the gelliplate: using Nuance

For this background I have sprinkled two colors of Nuance powders (Aquamarine and Spring Green) on the gelliplate and added a spritz of water. Than placed a piece of watercolor paper onto it.

This is a very easy way to create colorfull backgrounds.
