It's all about love
Vandaag een makkelijke techniek met een stencil.
Today an easy technique with a stencil for you.
Breng enkele kleuren distress oxide inkten aan op aqaurelpapier. Leg hier op het petal blossom stencil en bemist dit met een beetje water. Bedekt dit met een vel keuken papier. Hiermee zuig je het water op van het stencil en ook de kleur door de openingen van het stencil. Verwijder nu het keukenpapier met stencil. Leg nu weer een droog vel keuken papier over je achtergrond om het overtollige water op te nemen.
Met een witte gelpen kun je de ontstane bloemen traceren om ze nog duidelijker naar voren te laten komen. Ik heb washi tape, tekst label een een embellishment van een gestempeld hartje toegevoegd.
On water color paper blend some different colors of distress oxide inks and than place the petal blossom stencil on top of it. Mist a little bit of water over the stencil and put down a paper towel over the stencil. This way you soak up the water from the stencil and simultaneously you remove also the color thru the openings of the stencil. Lift of your stencil and put again a dry paper towel flat over your background to remove the remaining water.
With a white gel pen trace the outline of the flowers to make them pop even more. I added some washi tape, text label and a stamped heart embelishment.

Verjaardagskaart Helma
Ik begon met een zeer kleurrijke achtergrond waar ik de mandala dreams stempel met zwart afdrukte, maar ik was absoluut niet gecharmeerd van het resultaat. Dus.... kleuren sterk verzacht met witte gesso en modeling pasta door het mandala quad stencil aangebracht.
Meer blauw en paars tinten met de Neocolor II aangebracht, en nu maar gedeeltelijk de mandala dreams gestempeld met zwarte inkt.
I started with a very colorful background and stamped the mandala dreams on it with black ink, but I was absolutely not happy with the outcome. So..... muted it down with gesso and added the mandala quad stencil with modeling paste.
Added more blue and purple colors with Neocolor II and now only partially stamped the mandala dreams again with black ink.
Meer blauw en paars tinten met de Neocolor II aangebracht, en nu maar gedeeltelijk de mandala dreams gestempeld met zwarte inkt.

De kaart verder afgemaakt met een strookje kant met daar boven op een vlinder, en een tekst label. Nu blij met het eind resultaat. Als je heel goed kijkt zie je hier en daar nog wat geel door de achtergrond doorkomen....
Finished the card of with some lace with on top of that the butterfly and a text.
Love how it turned out! If you look closely you still see some yellow and orange peeking thru the background....

Pretty bird

Ik had een verjaardagskaart nodig voor een neef, dus een mannenkaart maar wel gecombineerd met het lente gevoel.

I needed a birthday card for a cousin, so masculine it should be, but I wanted to have a bit of spring feeling too.
De achtergrond is gekleurd met Nuance pigment poeders en hier boven op distress oxide inkt door een blad stencil gesponst. De vogel op een apart papiertje gestempeld, uitgeknipt en op de kaart geplakt. De strookjes van washi tape dienen als zitplaats voor de vogel. Nog een aantal gestanste bloementakjes erbij gevoegd.
The background is colored with Nuance pigment powders and on top of that I sponged distress oxide thru a leave stencil. The bird is stamped on a seperate piece of cardstock, fussy cut out and adhered it to the card. The strokes of washi tape gives the bird his seat. Added some flower stern die-cuts.
Op de envelop het kleine vliegtuig met happy birthday banner gestempeld.

Bloemenkaart
Ik ben helemaal weg van de mandala stencils. Ik heb ze op deze kaart op de achtergrond gebruikt en het geeft zo'n dromerig effect.
I so love the mandala stencils. Here on this card I used them on the background and it gives the card such a dreamy effect.
