Autumn leaves

Ook al is het hier in Nederland nog volop zomer, ik had gewoon zin om met herfskleuren te werken.
En wanneer ik aan herfst denk, denk ik aan bladeren

Eventhough it is still summer over here in the Netherlands I had the urge to play with autumn colors.
And when I think of autumn I think of leaves

De achtergrond is gedaan met distress inkten en met stempels opgebouwd. 

Le fond est crée avec des encres distress et étampes.

Happy birthday butterflies

Weer een paar vlinders op een distress inkt achtergrond.

Again some lovely butterflies on a background of distress inks.


Ik heb het kippengaas stencil gebruikt en bewerkt met gesso. Zodra gedroogd de distress inkt er overheen gesponst. De gesso werkt als een resist. 
Een leuke en makkelijke techniek.

I have used the chicken wire stencil where I added gesso to it. Once dry you can sponge over it with distress ink, the gesso will work as a resist. 
A fun and easy technique.

Birthday wishes

En weer enkele mooie vlinders op een distress inkt achtergrond.
Again some lovely butterflies on a background of distress inks.

Ik heb hier de 2e stencil uit de Background Trio Set gebruikt waar ik versamark direct op het stencil heb aangebracht. Het stencil dan als een stempel gebruiken en afdrukken op de achtergrond. Daarna met clear embossing poeder aanbrengen en verhitten. Wanneer je dan met distress inkt er overheen sponst werkt het als een resist.

I have used the 2nd stencil of the Background Trio Set where I added versamark directly on the stencil and stamped it off onto the background. And than heatsetted it with clear embossing powder. When sponging distress ink over it, it will act as a resist.

Een andere leuke manier om je stencils te gebruiken!
Another fun way to use your stencils!

Indigoblu vlinder

De mooie vlinder van Indigoblu
op een achtergrond van gesso en distress inkten.

The beautiful butterfly from IndigoBlu
On a background of gesso and distress inks.

 De achtergrond was iets te veel met gesso bewerkt...dus hier en daar wat dylussion paint aangebracht om wat meer kleur te verkrijgen.

I used a little too much gesso on the background...so also used some distress paints to add more color here and there.

Entered in the current IndigoBlu challenge

ATC Insects

Dit is een van de ATCs die ik gemaakt heb voor de
 2016 Magenta ATC Swap.

This is one of the ATCs created for the 
2016 Magenta ATC Swap.

De achtergrond is gemaakt met distress inkt en opgebouwd met stencils en stempels. De wespen zijn ingekleurd met poloychromos kleurpotloden.

The background is created with distress inkt and build up with stencils and stamps. The wasps are colored with colored pencils.

12 Tags of 2016 - August

My tag for the 12 tags in 2016 challenge from Tim Holtz!

Used materials:

Distress stain, distress inks, distresser, TH stamps & stencils, white gelpen

Bubbles transformation

Soms moet je eens iets totaal anders uitproberen.
Het kleuren van edelstenen is helemaal in op het moment.
Sometimes you need to try something totally different.

Coloring gemstones are hot these days.

Dus ik dacht waarom niet de zeepbellen stempel omtoveren tot edelstenen...

So I thought why not using the soap bubbles stamp and transform it into gemstones....

Hier het eindresultaat

Here is the result

De bellen zijn iingekleurd met de Polychromos potloden en highlights gezet met ee witte gelpen.
Bubbels are colored with Polychromos pencils and added some highlights with a white gelpen.
