Prachtige vlinders op een distress inkt achtergrond.

Lovely butterflies on a background of distress inks.


Ik heb het kippengaas stencil gebruikt en bewerkt met gesso. Zodra gedroogd de distress inkt er overheen gesponst. De gesso werkt als een resist. 
Een leuke en makkelijke techniek.

I have used the chicken wire stencil where I added gesso to it. Once dry you can sponge over it with distress ink, the gesso will work as a resist. 
A fun and easy technique.

My tag for the 12 tags in 2016 challenge from Tim Holtz!

Distress stain, distress inks, distresser, TH stamps & stencils, white gelpen

Bubbles transformation

Soms moet je eens iets totaal anders uitproberen.
Het kleuren van edelstenen is helemaal in op het moment.
Sometimes you need to try something totally different.

Coloring gemstones are hot these days.

Dus ik dacht waarom niet de zeepbellen stempel omtoveren tot edelstenen...

So I thought why not using the soap bubbles stamp and transform it into gemstones....

Here is the result

De bellen zijn iingekleurd met de Polychromos potloden en highlights gezet met ee witte gelpen.
Bubbels are colored with Polychromos pencils and added some highlights with a white gelpen.

Indigoblu challenge - guestpost

Today at Indigoblu a new month challenge has started and it's all about:

'All things bright and beautiful'

I was invited to make a card to go alongside with the DT inspiration work for this challenge and here is my take:

I have used distress inks for the bright part and for the beautiful part of this challenge I used all of the IndigoBlu stamps I chose for my winning prize:

Stencilen met gesso, een vrij makkelijke techniek in combinatie met distress inkten. Op de kaart heb ik gesso aangebracht op het kippengaas stencil.

Stenciling with gesso, an easy resist technique in combination with distress ink. On this card I adhered gesso on the chicken wire stencil.

De achtergrond is opgebouwd met stempels en stencils. De insecten gekleurd met polychromos kleurpotloden.

The background is build up with stamps and stencils.
The insects are colored with colored pencils.
