ATC zen dragonfly

Vandaag een ATC met bijbehorende insteekhoesje.
Op beiden heb ik de mandala stencils in combinatie met distress oxide inkt gebruikt en enkele achtergrond stempels gebruikt voor extra dimensie.

 Today I have an ATC with a corresponding pocket.
On both I used mandala stencils on the background with distress oxide inks and added some background stamping for more interest.

De libelle is ingekleurd met potloden.
The dragonfly is colored with colored pencils.

Art Journal pagina vissen

Nog steeds bezig in mijn Art Journal, dit keer de vissen lay-out compleet te krijgen.

 Still working in my Art Journal, this time to complete the fish page lay-out.


Enkele gebruikte achtergrond technieken: witte embossing resist met het handschrift stempel, crackle pasta door een stencil. Hopelijk zichtbaar in de close up hieronder.

Some techniques on the background: white embossing resist with the script stamp and crackle paste thru a stencil. Hopefully more visible in this close up:






De achtergrond is gekleurd met de NeocolorII  krijtjes en de distress crayons. De vissen zijn ingekleurd met de Nuance pigment poeders.

The coloring in the background is done with Neocolor II pastels and distress crayons. The fishes are colored with Nuance.

Arr Journal pagina; koolmees

Vandaag heb ik een Art Journal pagina. Vorig jaar begon ik te werken in dit journal op enkel de voorkant van de bladen en ik daag mijzelf nu uit om op de andere kant een bijpassende pagina te maken.
Today I have an Art Journal page for you. When I started in this journal last year I only worked on the front pages and I am now challenging myself to create matching pages.




De achtergrond heb ik beplakt met washi tape en tissue papier wat ik zelf bestempeld heb. De vogel is ook op tissue papier gestempeld en ingekleurd met zig watercolor brush pennen, voordat ik het op de achtergrond heb geplakt. Door het op tissue papier te stempelen kun je de afbeelding spiegelen.....

 The background is covered with washi tapes and self stamped tissue paper.
Also the bird is stamped on tissue paper as well and colored in with water color brushes before its glued on the page. By stamping it on tissue paper I was able to reverse the image.....



Zoals je kunt zien op de onderstaande foto heb ik dezelfde kleuren en technieken gebruikt zoals op de eerste pagina.

As you can see I used the same colors and same techniques as used on the opposite page.

Magenta internationale kaart ruil op facebook


I`m happy to let you all know that instead of an ATC swap I’m organizing a Magenta Card Exchange 2020 – International on facebook on the Magenta Style Passion Studio group.



Sign ups OPEN: between now & August 1st 2020
PARTNERS:
Partners will be assigned between August 1st – 3rd. After this date you will get an email or pm from me with 1 or 2 addresses. You will send a Magenta handmade card to the people in your group, this means 1 or 2 in total.

 SENDING:
All cards must be sent by August 15th 2020 so all will receive cards hopefully before end of August. Please bear in mind mail delivery is a bit slower as usual. If for some reason you are unable to make the deadline, please be so kind and let me know on my PM and I will let your partners know. If you`re sending cards out of the country, please remember to send them as early as possible.

 * You must be willing to send your card internationally as your partners may reside overseas.

 * You will commit to getting them mailed no later than August 15th.

 * When your cards arrive, take a photo and post it here on the Magenta Style - Passion Studio facebook group, so we can all see the pretty cards you received.

Art Journal pagina petal blossom

Lekker spelen in mijn Art Journal
Play time in my Art Journal

Eerst de pagina van een laagje witte gesso voorzien en hierop het diamonds and dots stencil erop gelegd en bewerkt met witte light modeleer pasta. Zodra droog met Neocolors blauw en grijstinten kleurstrepen aangebracht en met water bemist zodat de kleuren in elkaar kunnen overvloeien.

 Cirkels gestanst en gekleurd met paarse distress inkt en bestempeld met de script stempel in zwart. De cirkels op de pagina geplakt.

I covered the whole page with white gesso  and adhered white light modeling paste thru the diamonds and dots stencil. Once dry I scribbled some blue and gray neocolor crayons over it and sprayed it with water to let the colors mix.

 Cut out some circles and colored them with purple distress ink and stamped the script stamp in black onto it. Adhered them on the page.




Ingekleurde bloemen op de cirkels geplakt en labels gemaakt van de words to live by tekst stempel. Wat schaduw aangebracht rond de cirkels zodat ze nog meer tot zijn recht komen.

On top of the circles I placed the colored flowers and some text labels from the words to live by text stamp. Added some shading around the circles to make them stand out even more.

ATCs op karton

Vandaag heb ik een aantal ATCs gemaakt op een stuk van een kartonnen doos.

 Today I have some ATC to show created on pieces of a cardboard box.




Ik heb stukjes van de toplaag van het karton afgescheurd en dit bewerkt met distress verf. De bloemen zijn op een apart stuk papier gestempeld, gekleurd en uitgeknipt.

I ripped of parts from the top of the cardboard and colored the background with distress paints.  The flowers are stamped on a seperate piece of paper, colored in and fussy cut out.

Vrolijke grasmus

Vandaag draait het om de spring warbler stempel van de maart collectie. Zoals je kunt zien is mijn grasmus niet standaard bruin met grijs, maar juist lekker vrolijk gekleurd.

Today is all about a sweet little bird stamp called spring warbler from the March collection. As you can see my warblers are not standard brown with grey, but just cheerful colored.
